Ever participated in a fortune telling ritual? This is your chance! In the form of a Tea-reading workshop you will discover more about yourself, each other and the world.
Inspired by practices of fortune telling, specifically astrology, and tarot, Magic Tea-reading became a methodology of care and resistance for Crow Stitch Collective member Yegane Mehrzad. These practices, with their own magic system, have unique qualities. One of which is their perception of time, that is different from us humans. Time is not linear for the methods of fortune-telling. Past, future, and present are fluid, as the present is constantly flicking to the past and future.
Together, we are looking beyond the restrictions of the dimensions of our world, reflecting and understanding ourselves and the world outside of us, the skeletons of human-time, and 'the grey structures of societies and systems'.

Crow Stitch Collective consists of Yara Chaalan (LB), Alessia Talò (IT) and Yegane Mehrzad (IR) who met at the Master of Arts in Fine Arts & Design at Avans/St. Joost in Den Bosch. About their collaboration they say: ‘As we weave our distinct narratives while embodying crowness, our lives intertwine in moments of quiet reflection, shared meals, coffee and tea making, travels and creative practices.’
With this workshop we connect to the exhibition Scores of Resilience in the Willem Twee Fabriek, in which Crow Stitch Collective participates with an installation: https://www.willem-twee.nl/alle-activiteiten/scores-of-resilience.
